At Vivendi, all employees are required to comply with the laws and regulations in the countries in which they operate. The Group’s commitment in this regard is reflected in the implementation of a Compliance Program that covers personal data protection and anti-corruption measures, as well as obligations for monitoring the Group’s business activities.
An Anti-corruption policy has been drawn up to prevent and identify any potential risks situation. These rules apply to all Vivendi employees and all Group business partners (suppliers, subcontractors, intermediaries, etc.).
Vivendi has implemented measures to prevent risks and mitigate serious harm that could be caused by the group’s activities or those of its suppliers and subcontractors to :
A Group Vigilance Plan is published in Vivendi’s Universal Registration Document.
Risk maps have been drawn up, and targeted risk mitigation measures have been associated with these maps.
Risk monitoring and the measures presented in the action plans for these controls are reviewed by the Compliance Committee.
As part of its commitment relating to compliance matters and corporate social responsibility, Vivendi implemented a “Sustainable Purchasing Policy” which presents the principles applicable to purchasing and supply chain activities. Based on the development of ethical and sustainable business relationships and the objective of maintaining a constructive dialogue, it sets out the group’s expectations in ethical, social and environmental matters. For Vivendi, compliance with this charter is a substantial condition of a commercial relationship. The group requests from its suppliers to formally commit to high ethical standards and to ensure that human rights are protected.
For many years, and more intensively since the implementation of the GDPR in May 2018, the Vivendi Group has placed the protection of personal data at the heart of its concerns, notably incorporating it into its overall risk management policy and designating it as a specific element of its compliance program.
Aware of the sensitivity and the real stakes of this issue, and in order to preserve the trust established with all of its stakeholders, the Group takes particular care to respect the laws and regulations applicable to the protection of personal data, to implement the rules, procedures, and principles aimed at ensuring their protection and confidentiality, and regularly follows and applies the recommendations and guidelines established by any competent authority in its sectors of activity.
It is in this context that, as early as 2008, in a desire for transparency and to better inform any data subject, Vivendi made available to the public a “Charter on the Protection of Personal Data” on its institutional site, which it updates regularly.
This Charter aims to describe the guiding principles and rules that the Group applies and strives to have respected by its partners in the implementation of any personal data processing resulting from its activities.
Constantly, the Group ensures to implement and improve all compliance actions and measures to take into account legislative and regulatory changes and to implement the best practices and recommendations issued by any competent data protection authority in the context of the Group’s sectors of activity.
