Activision Blizzard and leading Chinese Internet service provider Tencent have signed a long-term multi-year agreement to launch Call of Duty Online in China. Activision Publishing has been developing the online version of Call of Duty for nearly two years. This agreement gives Tencent the exclusive license to operate the Chinese version of Call of Duty Online. This is a free-to-play system made profitable by the sale of related items. It will benefit from the extensive multi-player experience that made the Call of Duty franchise a global success, and will introduce a new gaming model specifically designed for the Chinese market, with new ways for players to personalize and perfect their characters, weapons and equipment. The new game will also offer a variety of innovative playing modes and map packs, as well as a fresh story that’s told through a series of special missions based on the world of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare®.

Finja is a service that provides maps and localization of nearby points of interest. Even if customers do not have a telephone with GPS or Internet service, they can search for their location or other landmarks and attractions nearby. Finja provides access to over 170,000 key locations (pharmacies, restaurants, cafés, service stations, shopping centers, banks and more) in 84 Moroccan cities. To use this service, customers need only subscribe to the application and choose one of the flat-fee plans (by day, week or month) or opt for a month-to-month service with automatic renewal at the end of each month.

StudioCanal and Les Films de Mon Oncle sign agreement for worldwide rights to Jacques Tati’s films
StudioCanal now manages the worldwide rights for all Jacques Tati films, with the exception of theaters in France and at festivals, which Les Films de Mon Oncle will continue to manage directly. Twelve films by Jacques Tati (all six feature films and six shorts) will be restored. This agreement is part of StudioCanal’s strategy of promoting great French cinema.
